Ola Electric has applied for incentives worth about ₹400 crore under the government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. The claim is based on eligible sales of nearly ₹3,000 crore for FY25.

The incentive, calculated at 13–14%, is expected to improve the company’s cash flow and support its financial performance in the coming quarters.

Strong Track Record Under PLI

Ola was the only two-wheeler maker to receive a PLI payout last year, a milestone that set it apart in the EV industry. It has now maintained its position as the top performer in PLI-eligible sales in the two-wheeler category for two years in a row.

This consistency highlights Ola’s growing dominance in India’s electric mobility market and its ability to meet localisation and regulatory norms.

Gen 3 Scooters Gain Certification

Recently, Ola Electric also secured PLI certification for its Gen 3 scooter portfolio, which covers the entire S1 range. Since these models account for the majority of current sales, the certification is expected to boost profitability from Q2 FY26 onwards.

Ola Electric Share Price Movement

Ola Electric Mobility share price stood at ₹60.51, up ₹1.61 or 2.73%, as of 3:30 PM on September 15, 2025.

Conclusion

Ola Electric’s ₹400 crore PLI claim not only improves its financial outlook but also strengthens its leadership role in India’s EV revolution. With back-to-back top performance in PLI-eligible sales and the certification of its Gen 3 scooters, the company is well-placed to scale further growth.
