Bengaluru-based on-demand logistics platform Porter has announced a workforce reduction affecting roughly 300 to 350 employees, as per the news reports. The job cuts come amid the company’s restructuring efforts as it prepares for a potential initial public offering (IPO).
According to the news report, these layoffs represent about 18% of Porter’s total workforce. The restructuring is described as a “one-time” exercise to create a leaner, more financially resilient organisation.
The company is streamlining overlapping business verticals, especially merging certain truck and two-wheeler logistics operations, in order to improve efficiency and margins ahead of its next growth phase.
Porter recorded a strong performance in FY25, with revenue rising around 57% to ₹4,306 crore and delivering its first annual net profit of around ₹55 crore after a loss in FY24.
As per the news reports, the company had raised about $200 million in May 2025 at a $1.2 billion valuation and is reportedly seeking further funding of $100-110 million as part of IPO preparation.
