
Lion, the Australia and New Zealand-based beverage major, has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to overhaul and modernise its technology backbone.
The collaboration is aimed at building a scalable digital foundation powered by AI, cloud infrastructure and enhanced cybersecurity as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
Under the agreement, TCS will lead Lion’s shift from legacy systems to a cloud-first architecture while strengthening its application ecosystem and operational resilience. The partnership includes deploying AI-enabled services to streamline service delivery, reduce operational costs and improve user experience.
TCS will also implement its Cognix platform to support business agility and deliver faster time-to-market. Lion views the move as a critical step in simplifying its technology stack and equipping its teams with improved tools and insights.
As per the exchange filings, Ram Kalyanasundaram, Lion’s Technology & Digital Transformation Director, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s ambition to build a modern, scalable and resilient digital core. He highlighted TCS’s global CPG experience and execution capabilities as key reasons behind the selection.
Krishnan Ramanujam, President of TCS’ Consumer Business Group, noted that the partnership comes at an important time for the beverages sector and emphasised TCS’s focus on using AI, cloud and CPG-specific platforms to accelerate Lion’s innovation agenda.
TCS executives added that the engagement will support continuous innovation through AI-led analytics, revenue-growth strategies and personalised enterprise-level insights.

As of November 13, 2025, at 1:50 PM, Tata Consultancy Services share price is trading at ₹3,103.80 per share, reflecting a decline of 0.89% from the previous closing price.
Lion’s tie-up with TCS marks a significant step in building a future-ready, AI-driven digital organisation capable of supporting its growth across Australia and New Zealand.
