As per PTI report, IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust has completed a significant equity fundraise through an institutional placement issue, attracting strong participation from a broad base of domestic and foreign institutional investors.

Issue Details and Investor Participation

The institutional placement launched on January 19 was oversubscribed two times, reflecting strong demand from both existing and new investors.

Participation included 10 insurance companies and 6 mutual funds, with domestic institutional investors contributing 78% and foreign institutional investors 12%, according to the company. The fundraise follows a ₹438 crore preferential issue completed in November 2025.

With this placement, IndiGrid has raised a total of ₹1,938 crore in equity capital during FY 2025–26 through a calibrated and phased capital-raising approach.

Post issuance, net debt-to-AUM is expected to stand at 57%, providing a growth runway of up to ₹45,000 crore in assets under management while remaining within the 70% leverage cap.

Approvals, Allotment and Advisors

The Board of Directors of IndiGrid Investment Managers Ltd, acting as the investment manager of IndiGrid, approved the issuance and allotment of around 9.20 crore new units through the institutional placement on January 22, 2026.

The units were issued at a price of ₹163 per unit. Axis Capital Ltd, Ambit Pvt Ltd, Avendus Capital Pvt Ltd, NovaaOne Capital Pvt Ltd and SBI Capital Markets Ltd acted as the book running lead managers to the issue, while AZB & Partners and Hogan Lovells (Middle East) LLP served as legal advisors.
