Capgemini SE has approached the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to obtain clearance for acquiring full ownership of Singapore-based Cloud4C, as per news reports. The notice filed with the regulator states that the proposed deal involves the purchase of 100% of the shares of Cloud4C Services Pte Ltd and Cloud4C Services Pvt Ltd.
Capgemini recently confirmed that it had signed an agreement to acquire Cloud4C. The company provides hybrid cloud platform services across multiple geographies, including India. The transaction is aimed at bringing Cloud4C entirely under Capgemini’s ownership.
According to news reports, both Capgemini and Cloud4C are active in the Indian market in the area of IT and IT-enabled services. The companies noted that while their activities overlap, the proposed combination is not expected to have any appreciable adverse effect on competition in India.
Capgemini, headquartered in Paris, is involved in consulting, technology, engineering, and digital transformation services. India functions as one of its largest delivery bases worldwide. The company has been expanding its operations in the country for several years.

Cloud4C is engaged in providing IT/ITeS services in India, including hybrid cloud management, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery. It caters to clients across different industries, supporting cloud adoption and infrastructure services.
The Cloud4C deal follows Capgemini’s announcement in July to acquire business transformation services firm WNS for $3.3 billion, excluding debt. That transaction was positioned to add new capabilities, particularly in AI-related services for enterprises.
The request for CCI approval is the next step in Capgemini’s plan to take full control of Cloud4C. The transaction, once cleared, will add another acquisition to Capgemini’s series of deals in India’s IT and digital services market.
