Adani Power Limited has approved a sub-division of its equity shares. Each existing equity share with a face value of ₹10 will be split into 5 equity shares, each having a face value of ₹2. This move enhances share liquidity and makes the stock more accessible to a larger base of investors.

Record Date for Eligibility

The company has fixed Monday, September 22, 2025, as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for the stock split. Shareholders holding shares as of this date will be entitled to receive the split shares in their demat accounts.

To implement this split, Adani Power will also alter Clause V, the Capital Clause of its Memorandum of Association, to reflect the revised share capital structure.

Example of Impact

Suppose an investor owns 100 shares of Adani Power with a face value of ₹10 each before the split. After the split, the investor will hold 500 shares of face value ₹2 each. While the number of shares increases, the overall investment value remains the same; only the per-share price adjusts accordingly.
