Valuedrive Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which operates the used-car platform Spinny, is evaluating a public listing in India as it prepares for the next phase of growth.
As per The Bloomberg report, the company is considering an initial public offering in Mumbai and has appointed a group of investment banks to manage the process. These include Kotak Mahindra Capital Co., Morgan Stanley and Citigroup Inc..
The proposed offering is expected to combine both fresh share issuance and sale of existing shares. The listing is being targeted for the first quarter of next year, although timelines and deal size are still under discussion and may change.
Valuedrive counts investors such as Tiger Global and Accel Leaders Fund among its backers. Earlier this year, the company raised around $170 million in a funding round led by Fidelity Investments and Accel, which valued the business at approximately $1.5 billion, as per The Economic Times report.
The IPO decision comes at a time when India’s primary market activity has slowed, with several companies delaying listings due to volatility linked to geopolitical developments such as the Iran conflict and softer domestic earnings growth.
Market participants indicate that issuance activity could improve if equity markets stabilise, potentially encouraging companies with strong business models to revive their fundraising plans.
As of now, neither the company nor its advisers have issued an official response on the proposed IPO.

Valuedrive’s IPO plans reflect continued interest in public markets despite near-term uncertainty, with final decisions likely to depend on evolving market conditions and investor sentiment.
