Highway Infrastructure Business Overview
Highway Infrastructure Limited (HIL), incorporated in 1995, is an infrastructure development and management company operating across India. Its primary business activities include tollway collection, engineering procurement and construction (EPC) of roads and bridges, and real estate development.
HIL operates toll collection projects in 11 states and one Union Territory. It is among the select operators using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology and RFID-based ETC systems. As of October 19, 2024, the company had completed 24 tollway projects and was managing 7 active toll operations.
The company has executed 63 infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, irrigation systems, and civil buildings, with 20 projects under progress as of October 19, 2024. These projects are mainly concentrated in Madhya Pradesh across Indore, Ratlam, and Khandwa.
Although its smallest vertical, HIL also engages in the development and sale of residential and commercial properties, including gated communities. The segment contributes modestly to the company’s revenue. As of October 19, 2024, HIL employed 398 professionals across its various business functions.
