LIC Mutual Fund Asset Management on Monday inaugurated a dedicated women-centric branch in South Delhi, becoming the first asset management company in India to open a branch specifically designed to increase women’s participation in mutual fund investments, as per PTI report.
The new South Delhi outlet is fully staffed and operated by women and is positioned as a specialised access point to support female investors with guidance, education and investment services.
The initiative is aimed at narrowing the gender gap in financial participation and encouraging more women to actively manage and grow their investments.
Ravi Kumar Jha, Managing Director & CEO of LIC Mutual Fund, said the initiative is focused on enabling women to take stronger ownership of their financial futures and participate more confidently in capital markets.
South Delhi is considered a high-potential zone for the mutual fund industry, with estimated assets under management of about ₹1.30 lakh crore and more than 2,000 active mutual fund distributors operating in the region. As of December 31, 2025, LIC Mutual Fund’s AUM in South Delhi stood at around ₹200 crore, including ₹175 crore invested in equity schemes.
The company said the branch will function as a dedicated space for investor education, product awareness and assisted investment decisions tailored for women investors. The new centre is also the fund house’s 54th area office.
