Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 08 May, 2024

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 175 points or 0.25% at 73,340, while the Nifty-50 was down around 31 points or 0.14% at 22,272. About 2,121 shares have advanced; 1,256 declined and 153 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Tata Steel Ltd, NTPC Ltd and State Bank of India while the top Sensex losers were Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Asian Paints Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.61% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.69%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were REC Ltd and Power Finance Corporation Ltd. In contrast, Sasken Technologies Ltd and Oriental Aromatics Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Bankex Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Oil & Gas Index gained by 1.50%, up by Indraprastha Gas Ltd and Gail (India) Ltd while the BSE Bankex Index is down by 0.30% dragged by AU Small Finance Bank and Axis Bank.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: IFCI Ltd, NBCC (India) Ltd and Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd.
