Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 22 February, 2024

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 390 points or 0.54% at 72,234 while the Nifty-50 down around 110 points or 0.50% at 22,945. About 1,244 shares have advanced, 1,944 declined and 93 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Axis Bank, HCL Technologies Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Power Grid Corporation Ltd, Asian Paints Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading lower, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.31% and the BSE Small-cap index down 0.33%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Yes Bank and Oberoi Realty Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Grauer & Weil (India) Ltd and BF Utilities Ltd.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index soared 0.33% led by NMDC Ltd and Hindalco Industries Ltd while the BSE Oil & Gas Index was down 1.11% dragged down by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd
