Share Market Pre Open Updates – July 16, 2024

On July 15, 2024, Nifty 50 and Sensex rose 0.35% and 0.18% and closed at 24,586  and 80,664, respectively 

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty Oil and Gas, Nifty Media, Nifty Mid-small Healthcare, and Nifty Realty ended in the green. Only one sector, Nifty IT, was declining. The top gainers were ONGC, Canara Bank, GAIL and Bank of Baroda, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, LTI Mindtree, Asian Paints, Grasim and Havells were the top losers of the day.

Zen Technologies and Ashok Leyland were in the news on July 15, 2024.

• Zen Technologies launched new IP-owned defence products for global security in collaboration with its subsidiary, AI Turing Technologies. As a result, Zen Technologies’ shares were locked in a 5% upper circuit.
• The share of Ashok Leyland rose 2% after the company announced securing a  single-largest order for fully-built buses from the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation
