With reference to NSE’s circular, “The entire EPI value of sold securities without reduction of 20% upfront Margin shall be available as Margin for other positions across all the segments.“

In view of the above-mentioned clause, we are pleased to inform you that w.e.f 10-Oct-24, you will be getting 100% credit for stock holdings sold by you on the same day. Previously, this benefit was capped at 80%, with 20% of the sell amount reflecting under ‘Blocked Delivery Margin’.

Kindly note that this 100% of the sale value can also be used as a margin for subsequent trades.

Let’s understand this with an example:

Case

Previous Scenario

New Scenario (from 10th Oct)

ABC Sold Stock XYZ worth ₹100,000 from their holdings

₹+80,000 (Trading balance on the same day)

₹+100,000 (Trading balance on the same day)

Kindly refer to ‘Trading Balance’ on the Account page or ‘Available Margin’ on the Order page through app or website for the correct available balance.

Please ignore the ‘Funds from Delivery Sell’ and ‘Blocked Delivery Margin’ values appearing in your Trading Balance Breakup on the app or website. We're working to correct this display to reflect the accurate value soon.
