05-Sep-25 (Id-e-Milad) is a Settlement Holiday. The Currency Segment will be closed; all other segments remain open for trading. 
 
You can place your trades as usual, except the stocks purchased on 04-Sep-25 will not be allowed to be sold on 05-Sep-25. This change is only for double pay-in/payout of stock due to the settlement holiday on 05-Sep-25 and is not a regular change.

The settlement of funds/securities will be processed as detailed in the table below:

Here’s what you need to know: 

• Trades can be placed as usual, except stocks bought on 04-Sep-25 cannot be sold on 05-Sep-25.

• Settlement for trades executed on 04-Sep-25 will be processed on 08-Sep-25 for both Equity and Derivatives.

• Funds from shares sold on 04-Sep-25 will be available for withdrawal on 08-Sep-25. No fund payouts will be processed on 05-Sep-25.

• Profits/credits from trades done on 04-Sep-25 will not reflect in your account balance on 05-Sep-25.

A settlement holiday means markets are open, but depositories and banks are closed, so settlements happen on the next working day.

As perNSE’s circular, HDFCBANK has announced a bonus issue in the ratio of 1:1.

Subsequently, all open positions in futures contracts with the underlying security of HDFCBANK existing after end of day on August 25, 2025 will be adjusted as under:

Positions: The adjusted positions will be arrived at by multiplying the number of contracts in the pre adjusted position by the adjusted market lot. The adjusted market lot shall be as per circular dated July 31.

Futures Price: The adjusted futures price would be based on the Settlement price of the relevant futures contracts on August 25. Adjusted futures price will be settlement price of relevant futures contracts on August 25 divided by ‘adjustment factor’.

Shareholders are granted Rights Entitlements (RE) by temporarily crediting their Demat accounts with RE, giving them the right to participate in a Rights Issue.
