Revolutionising Tourism with AI: Wipro and SIAM.AI Collaboration

Wipro has entered into a strategic agreement with SIAM.AI to advance Thailand’s sovereign AI ambitions. Together, they aim to leverage NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and software to create Sukjai, an AI-powered digital assistant for the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

The Sukjai virtual assistant, powered by NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, SIAM.AI’s expertise, and Wipro’s Enterprise Generative AI (WeGA) Studio, is designed to offer travellers personalised and real-time information. Sukjai will assist with transportation guidelines, destination details, lodging availability, and recommended activities tailored to individual preferences.

It will also provide updates on crowd flow at attractions, emergency services, and safety alerts. By delivering these tailored services, the AI solution enables the Tourism Authority of Thailand to manage increasing tourist volumes efficiently while enhancing user experiences.

Advancing Sovereign AI And Local Innovation

Vinay Firake, CEO of Wipro APMEA, highlighted the significance of this initiative in transforming the tourism sector. He stated, “We are excited to collaborate with SIAM.AI and utilise NVIDIA’s technology to transform the tourism experience in Thailand. This initiative highlights our expertise in delivering customised AI solutions designed to meet the unique objectives of our clients.”

Ratanaphon Wongnapachant, CEO of SIAM.AI Cloud, emphasised the balance between global collaboration and local value creation. “Through this partnership, we’re leveraging NVIDIA’s advanced AI infrastructure while maintaining our commitment to data sovereignty and local innovation. This initiative demonstrates Thailand’s potential to work with global leaders while advancing our position as a key AI player in Southeast Asia,” he said.
