On June 16, 2025, the leading NBFC, Bajaj Finance has successfully executed its highly anticipated corporate action involving both a stock split and a bonus issue.
As part of the move, the face value of each share was reduced from ₹2 to ₹1, effectively doubling the number of outstanding shares through a 1:1 bonus issue. This entitles existing shareholders to one additional share for every share they already own.
The record date to determine eligible shareholders for the stock split was Monday, June 16, 2025. Investors whose holdings were reflected in their Demat accounts as of this date qualified to receive the additional shares.
The ex-date, which marks the first day the stock trades without the entitlement to the bonus and split benefit, also fell on June 16. From this day onward, Bajaj Finance shares began trading at their adjusted price, factoring in the stock split and bonus issuance.

According to an official exchange filing by Bajaj Finance, the allotment and credit of bonus and split-adjusted shares will be completed on or before June 27, 2025. Shareholders eligible as of the record date can expect to see the updated share count in their Demat accounts within this timeframe.
The stock split and bonus issue are strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing liquidity, broadening retail participation, and making the stock more affordable for small investors. Shareholders who held the stock as of June 16 are advised to monitor their Demat accounts for the credit of additional shares by June 27.
