The latest agreement expands the companies' ongoing engagement, which previously covered digital and product lifecycle management (PLM) services. Under the new scope, HCLTech will now handle end-to-end engineering services at scale.
HCLTech will deliver services through its automotive Centre of Excellence located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Additional work will be carried out via the company's offshore and nearshore delivery centres. The engagement will cover a range of engineering operations linked to Volvo Cars’ product development and related functions.
The partnership is expected to support Volvo Cars’ current focus on personal, sustainable, and safe mobility solutions. The expanded engineering support will be integrated with Volvo’s broader development in line with its goals around innovation and sustainable transport.

As per the company’s official communication, the expanded engagement strengthens its presence in the global automotive engineering space.
