On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading red with Sensex down around 300 points or 0.47% at 64,852 and the Nifty-50 down around 94 points or 0.48% at 19,270. About 1,543 shares have advanced, 1,770 declined, and 162 are unchanged on the BSE.
Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:
The top Sensex gainers were Larsen and Toubro Ltd, Axis Bank and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, whereas the top Sensex losers were Tech Mahindra Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and Wipro Ltd.
The BSE Capital Goods Index was the only gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Teck Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Capital Goods Index soared 0.50%, led by Carborundum Universal Ltd and Siemens Ltd while the BSE Teck Index was down 0.70% dragged down by Vodafone Idea Ltd and Indus Tower Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading lower, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.35% and the BSE Small-cap index down 0.12%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd and India Overseas Bank while the top small-cap gainers were Mayur Uniquoters Ltd and Asian Granito India Ltd.
