Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:
The top Sensex gainers were Tech Mahindra Ltd, Wipro Ltd, and HCL Technologies Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Nestle India Ltd, Bajaj FinServ Ltd, and Bajaj Finance Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.39% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.26%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Mphasis Ltd and Crisil Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Rossell India Ltd and Kirloskar Industries Ltd.
The BSE Information Technology Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Telecommunication Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Information Technology0 Index gained by 1.35%, up by Zensar Technologies Ltd and Magellanic Cloud Ltd while the BSE Telecommunication Index is down by 0.35% dragged by Tejas Networks Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd.
In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Bharat Electronics Ltd, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, and Canara Bank.
