The top Sensex gainers were NTPC Ltd, ITC Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Titan Company Ltd, Infosys Ltd
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.78% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.65%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Macrotech Tech Developers Ltd and Bank of India while the top small-cap gainers were Datamatics Global Services Ltd and Arvind Smart Spaces Ltd.
The BSE Power Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Information Technology Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Power Index soared 2.56% led by NTPC Ltd and Adani Power Ltd while the BSE Information Technology Index was down 0.08% dragged down by Wipro Ltd and Newgen Software Technologies Ltd.
