On May 26, 2025, the BSE Sensex closed up by 0.56% at 82,176.45, and the Nifty50 gained 0.60%, finishing at 25,001.15. 

Major sector indices, including Nifty Bank, Auto, Financial Services, FMCG, IT, and Pharm,a advanced between 0.5% and 1%. European stocks rallied following the US delaying the EU tariff hike to July 9. Markets rebounded after last Friday’s sharp fall due to tariff threat concerns.

1. Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto’s share price rose 2.39%, opening at ₹8,784.50 and hitting a high of ₹8,978.50 before closing at ₹8,950.

2. JSW Steel

JSW Steel shares gained 2.13%, opening at ₹1,009.20 and reaching a high of ₹1,036.

3. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M)

M&M shares rose 2.07%, with an opening price of ₹3,038 and an intraday high of ₹3,101.

4. Trent

Trent shares gained 1.72%, opening at ₹5,455 and touching a high of ₹5,536.50.

5. Hindalco

Hindalco shares increased 1.68%, opening at ₹655 and hitting ₹669.70 at peak.

3. Kotak Mahindra Bank

Kotak Bank shares slipped 0.51%, opening at ₹2,090.10 and closing near ₹2,090.

4. PowerGrid

PowerGrid shares decreased 0.47%, opening at ₹300.05 and hitting a low of ₹295.75.

5. NTPC

NTPC shares fell 0.38%, opening at ₹351.00 and closing at ₹343.30.
