Swiggy has introduced a new section on its app called the 99 Store. It features single-serve dishes at a fixed price of ₹99. As per the reports, free delivery is offered through its Eco Saver mode, which combines multiple deliveries to lower costs.

The 99 Store is now live in over 175 cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bhopal. The service also covers cities such as Tirupati, Patna, and Dehradun.

Meals for Budget-Conscious Consumers

The new category is for users who prefer small, affordable meals. This includes students, Gen Z consumers, and those who order frequently but avoid higher delivery fees or minimum order limits.

The dishes include multiple varieties, and all items are priced at ₹99, sourced from Swiggy’s partner restaurants. The meals are for quick preparation and daily use.

Delivery Conditions and Tax Charges

Delivery remains free only when the Eco Saver mode is selected and the item is priced at ₹99. Orders below ₹99 or not using Eco Saver attract standard delivery charges. Taxes still apply and vary by order.

The launch comes amid increased activity in the low-cost food delivery segment. As per news reports, Rapido is also planning to enter the space with its Ownly platform, which offers sub- ₹150 meals and no commission for restaurants.
