Suzlon Energy experienced a 2.2% increase in foreign institutional investors (FII) shareholding in the September quarter of FY25. FIIs’ ownership rose to 23.72% in Q2 FY25, up from 21.53% in Q1 FY25.
Suzlon Energy reported a 95.71% increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹200.20 crore for Q2FY25, driven by strong revenue growth from a healthy order inflow. However, the net profit was below analysts’ expectations. Revenue from operations grew by 47.6%, totalling ₹2,092.99 crore in Q2FY25, compared to ₹1,417.21 crore in the same period last year.
Expenses rose by 48.6%, amounting to ₹1,919.65 crore for Q2FY25, up from ₹1,291.26 crore in the previous year. Suzlon’s current order book stands at 5.1 gigawatts (GW), with key segments including Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Captive & Retail contributing 54% (2.7 GW), Central & State Bids accounting for 23% (1.2 GW), and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) making up 23% (1.2 GW).
