Suzlon Energy has posted its strongest annual performance in a decade, with FY25 results showcasing significant growth across revenue, profits, and deliveries.
Suzlon Energy share price surged 27% in May 2025, reflecting investor optimism. With a 5.6 GW order book and a net cash position of ₹1,943 crore, the company continues to lead the wind energy sector in India.
For the quarter ended March 2025, Suzlon Energy reported a 365.22% rise in net profit at ₹1,182.22 crore, compared to ₹254.12 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Revenue jumped 73.16% to ₹3,773.54 crore from ₹2,179.20 crore in the same period last year.
This quarterly performance highlights a strong recovery and improved efficiency in operations.
In the full year ended March 2025, Suzlon’s net profit rose 213.72% to ₹2,071.63 crore from ₹660.35 crore in FY24. Revenue increased by 67.02% to ₹10,851.32 crore, compared to ₹6,496.84 crore in the previous year.
EBITDA grew 81% to ₹1,857 crore, while profit before exceptional items and tax more than doubled to ₹1,447 crore.
FY25 was Suzlon’s most profitable year in a decade. Profit after tax stood at ₹2,072 crore, aided by deferred tax asset recognition of ₹638 crore. This performance sets a new benchmark for the company.
Its S144 platform crossed 5 GW, strengthening its position as a key product in India’s wind energy space.

Deliveries surged 118% to 1,550 MW in FY25, up from 710 MW in FY24. The year ended with a firm order book of 5.6 GW and a net cash position of ₹1,943 crore, indicating strong liquidity and business momentum.
Vice Chairman Girish Tanti called FY25 a landmark year. He emphasised that the company’s improved profitability, order book, and cash reserves are outcomes of disciplined execution. He also noted that India has surpassed 50 GW of wind power capacity, a goal to which Suzlon has significantly contributed.
With an impressive installed capacity exceeding 15.1 GW, Suzlon holds a significant position in the Indian wind energy sector, capturing roughly 30% of the market share. To put this in perspective, for every 100 wind turbines operational in India, approximately 30 are either manufactured or managed by Suzlon.
