Premier Energies share price (NSE: PREMIERENE) fell over 5% on Tuesday to an intraday low of ₹748.20 on the NSE, marking a fresh all-time low. This level is below its previous low seen on its listing day in September 2024.
The stock has now dropped around 33% from its October peak of ₹1,119 and more than 10% in the last 5 trading sessions.
The recent decline came after Premier Energies was added to the futures and options (F&O) segment from the January 2026 series. Entry into the F&O segment often leads to higher price swings, which increases volatility in the stock.
Despite the sharp fall, Premier Energies continues to trade about 67% above its IPO price of ₹450. However, it is nearly 42% below its all-time high of ₹1,295 recorded in December 2024.
Premier Energies is not alone. Other stocks recently added to the F&O segment have also seen selling pressure. Waaree Energies is down about 11% and Swiggy has slipped around 9% over the last 5 sessions. In contrast, Bajaj Holdings has gained nearly 2.5% during the same period.
F&O data shows that Premier Energies’ open interest has reached about 30% of the market-wide limit. The put-call ratio (PCR) stands at 0.7, indicating more call options than put options, suggesting cautious sentiment among traders.
Premier Energies’ inclusion in the F&O segment has increased volatility, leading to sharp short-term price pressure. While the stock remains well above its IPO price, the recent decline highlights cautious trader sentiment and broader selling seen in new F&O entrants.
