Procter & Gamble Home Products Ltd (PGHPL) reported a solid performance in FY25, with net profit rising 19.1% year-on-year to ₹683.29 crore. In comparison, the company had posted a profit of ₹573.6 crore in the previous financial year.

Revenue Sees Modest Increase

Revenue from operations grew 3.4% to ₹9,054.11 crore in FY25, up from ₹8,756.79 crore a year earlier. However, the company’s total income, including other income, declined nearly 2% to ₹9,228.83 crore compared with ₹9,413.02 crore in FY24.

Higher Advertising and Royalty Costs

PGHPL increased its advertising and sales promotion spending by 21.5% to ₹930.03 crore, reflecting higher brand-building efforts. Royalty payments to its parent company, Procter & Gamble Company, also rose 3.6% to ₹410.17 crore during the year.

Tax Expense Drops Sharply

One of the key reasons behind the profit jump was a sharp fall in tax expenses. Total tax outgo declined 63% to ₹252.63 crore in FY25, compared with ₹683.13 crore in FY24.

Overall Expenses Edge Up

Total expenses stood at ₹8,292.91 crore in FY25, up 1.67% from ₹8,156.29 crore in the previous year, indicating controlled cost growth despite higher marketing spends.
