
Retail investors reportedly increased their ownership in Ola Electric during the December quarter of FY26, as per Inc42 report.
As per the December quarter shareholding data, retail investors held 29.74% of the company at the end of Q3 FY26. This was higher than 25.25% at the end of the September quarter and 12.43% in the same period last year.
Small retail investors, with holdings of up to ₹2 lakh, accounted for 21.21% of the company in December. Their stake stood at 17.33% in the previous quarter and 9.85% a year earlier.
Large retail investors, holding more than ₹2 lakh, owned 8.53% at the end of Q3 FY26, up from 7.92% in Q2 FY26 and 2.58% in Q3 FY25.
During the quarter, founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal sold 2.19% stake, or 9.65 crore shares, through bulk deals. The company said the transaction was a one-time sale to repay a ₹260 crore loan and remove all pledged promoter shares.
SoftBank also trimmed its holding to 14.04% from 14.7% after selling 2.88 crore shares in the open market. Earlier, the investor had sold 9.4 crore shares between July and September.
Temasek, which held 2.49% at the end of September, did not appear in the December shareholding data after reducing its exposure.
The company’s market share in the electric two-wheeler segment fell to 15.5% in 2025, from 35.5% in 2024.

As of February 12, 2026, 10:20 am, Ola Electric Mobility share price was trading at ₹31.24, a 0.57% decrease from the previous closing price.
The December quarter saw retail investors raise their stake, while promoters and early backers reduced their holdings, changing the company’s shareholder mix.
