Apollo Hospitals posted a robust 59.3% year-on-year rise in net profit, reaching ₹411.5 crore for Q4FY25, significantly beating estimates of ₹368.3 crore. Revenue from operations climbed 13.1% to ₹5,592.2 crore, aligning closely with market expectations. EBITDA surged 20.2% to ₹769.7 crore, while operating margins expanded to 13.76% from 12.96% in the same period last year.
IRB Infra announced a major deal wherein its associate, IRB Infrastructure Trust, will transfer three key BOT highway assets to the IRB InvIT Fund for an enterprise value of around ₹8,450 crore. The equity portion of the transaction is pegged at ₹4,905 crore. The assets involved span approximately 1,800 lane kilometers.
FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa) saw its Q4FY25 net profit nearly triple to ₹20.3 crore, from ₹7 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue rose 23.6% year-on-year to ₹2,061.8 crore. EBITDA increased by 43% to ₹133.4 crore, with the margin improving to 6.47% compared to 5.59% a year ago.
Vodafone Idea reported a narrower net loss of ₹7,166.1 crore for Q4FY25. In a significant move, the board approved a fundraising plan of up to ₹20,000 crore, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals, in a bid to strengthen its financial position.
AstraZeneca posted a 47.7% year-on-year jump in net profit to ₹58.2 crore for the quarter ended March 2025, up from ₹39.4 crore a year ago. The strong results were driven by solid revenue growth and expanded operating margins.
SpandanaSphoortyFinancial the microfinance lender swung to a net loss of ₹434.3 crore in Q4FY25, compared to a net profit of ₹128.6 crore in the same period last year. Operational revenue declined sharply by 38% year-on-year to ₹414.8 crore.
Markets remain sensitive to earnings results and corporate developments. While companies like Apollo Hospitals, Nykaa, and AstraZeneca have posted strong quarterly numbers, others such as Vodafone Idea and Spandana Sphoorty are facing financial strain. Investors should track sector-specific trends, especially in healthcare, telecom, infra, and real estate.
