Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has entered into agreements to acquire a 51% stake in ANK Hotels Private Limited for up to ₹110 crore and Pride Hospitality Private Limited for up to ₹94 crore. Both entities operate under the Clarks Hotels & Resorts brand.
The acquisitions, subject to fulfilment of certain conditions precedent, will add a total of 135 hotels to IHCL’s midscale portfolio. Completion of the transactions is expected by 15 November 2025, and both will be executed through cash consideration.
ANK Hotels operates 111 midscale hotels, of which 67 are currently functional, under brands such as Clarks Inn, Clarks Inn Suites, and Clarks Inn Premier. Incorporated in 1996 and headquartered in Lucknow, it recorded a turnover of ₹14.32 crore in FY 2024-25 and has operations in India and Sri Lanka.
Beejal Desai, Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Company Secretary (Group) stated, "The transactions aim to address India’s heterogeneous market landscape and provide deeper geographical penetration across India in the midscale segment while continuing to pursue its asset-light growth strategy."
Pride Hospitality operates 24 midscale hotels, with 13 currently operational, under Clarks Safari, Clarks Collection, and Clarks Resort. Established in 2005 and based in Jaipur, it posted a turnover of ₹18.94 crore in FY 2024-25 and operates solely in India.
Beejal Desai further noted, "The acquisition of around 51% stake in Pride Hospitality Private Limited will add a portfolio of 24 midscale hotels (with 13 hotels in operation), to IHCL’s portfolio”.

IHCL will acquire 51% stakes in ANK Hotels and Pride Hospitality for a total of ₹204 crore, adding 135 midscale Clarks Hotels to its portfolio. The move aims to enhance its presence across India while following its asset-light growth strategy.
