On July 29, 2025, Asian Paints posted a 6% decline in net profit to ₹1,100 crore for Q1 FY26, compared to ₹1,170 crore a year ago. Revenue dropped slightly to ₹8,939 crore from ₹8,970 crore in Q1 FY25. 

Domestic Decorative Paints See Volume Growth

Despite a marginal decline in revenue, domestic decorative paints posted a volume growth of 3.9%, though revenue dropped 1.2%. Pressure on household incomes impacted home décor sales, while retail chains like Beautiful Homes Stores performed well.

Industrial Coatings and Overseas Markets Drive Growth

The Industrial Coatings segment recorded 8.8% revenue growth, supported by strong demand in the auto and protective coating segments. International business saw 11.1% revenue growth (20.4% in constant currency), with strong performance in South Asia, the UAE, and Egypt.

Operating margins were slightly down year-on-year due to higher investments in sales and marketing.
