Sansera Engineering Limited has signed a contract worth approximately ₹160 crore ($18.8 million) with Airbus Defence and Space. The agreement involves manufacturing, supplying, and supporting Airborne Intensive Care Transport Modules (ICTMs) for use in Airbus’s light and medium transport aircraft programs.

Order From Airbus

The ICTM is a medical evacuation system built for transporting patients, including those in intensive care, by air during emergencies. Sansera will handle both precision machining and structural assembly of the modules as part of the contract terms.

First Indian Supplier

This is the first time Airbus has chosen an Indian supplier to manufacture the ICTM kits. The selection marks the inclusion of an Indian manufacturer in Airbus’s supply chain for critical medical transport systems.

Company Operations

Sansera Engineering, founded in 1981 and headquartered in Bengaluru, produces complex precision components across the automotive and non-automotive industries. In the automotive segment, it supplies forged and machined parts such as connecting rods, rocker arms, crankshafts, and gear shifter forks used in engines, suspension, and braking systems.

For non-automotive industries, Sansera manufactures parts for aerospace, defence, and semiconductors. The company operates several plants and serves a mix of domestic and international clients.
