Healthcare platform Practo has launched its consumer services in the United Arab Emirates, starting with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. This comes after over 10 years of operating in the region through its hospital management software, Insta by Practo.
As per news reports, the company is focusing on regions with a large Indian diaspora. In the UAE, Indian-origin users make up a major portion of the healthcare-seeking population. The new rollout includes partnerships with local clinics and hospitals such as e-Kaya Skin Clinic, Sulaiman Habib Hospital, Micris Dental, and Smile On Dental Clinic.
Through its B2B services, Practo has worked with healthcare institutions like Emirates Hospital and Life Medical Centre. Together, the UAE and Saudi Arabia account for 10-15% of Practo’s annual revenue. On the consumer side, the company reports an annual recurring revenue of $200,000 from the region. The platform currently supports over 31,000 doctors and 3,000 healthcare facilities, with 50,000 monthly active users in the UAE.
Users in the UAE can now access 24x7 doctor consultations across various specialities, including general medicine, dermatology, psychiatry, physiotherapy, gynaecology, and dentistry. Practo allows appointment bookings and lets users search by symptoms, specialities, or procedures. The platform also enables cross-border healthcare access, allowing patients to consult Indian doctors from the UAE and vice versa.

The company saw profitability in the final quarter of FY24 and continued that trend through FY25. Practo claims close to half a million users in the UAE annually and around ₹100 crore in annualised GMV with 250 paying healthcare partners.
Globally, it connects over 400 million patients with 500,000 doctors across 22 countries in 14,500 pin codes. The company's large network fuels a significant annual GMV run rate of Rs 3,500 crore.
Practo has indicated that more international rollouts are being planned. An initial public offering is also on the roadmap, though no specific timeline has been confirmed. The UAE launch is the start of its wider expansion strategy.
