NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NREL) has successfully commissioned 110.25 MW of solar capacity in Khavda, Gujarat. This marks the first phase of NREL’s ambitious 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project, contributing significantly to the company’s renewable energy expansion in the region.

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd, has successfully commissioned a 110.25 MW segment of its expansive 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project located in Gujarat. 1 GW Power Purchase Agreement with UPPCL

In a notable advancement, NREL has secured a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) for a 1 GW solar project. The interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar PV capacity was awarded to NREL in UPPCL’s 2 GW solar auction at a tariff of ₹2.56 per kWh. This agreement enables NREL to establish PV projects across India, provided they are connected to the ISTS.
