NTPC Green Energy Limited announces that 30 MW of the 150 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project, Mesanka, Gujarat, developed by NTPC Renewable Energy, has been declared operational from 11th December 2024.
NTPC Green Energy Limited has informed that 30 MW capacity out of the 150 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project at Mesanka, Gujarat, has been declared as commercially operational from December 11, 2024.
This milestone follows the certification issued by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency on December 18, 2024. This development marks a significant step towards achieving renewable energy goals for the company.
Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, won a 500 MW solar power contract in the recent e-reverse auction by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
The auction, held on December 9, 2024, was part of the 2000 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV Power Projects initiative, which includes the installation of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) with a combined capacity of 1000 MW/4000 MWh.
NTPC REL’s winning bid was ₹3.52 per kWh, and the company is also required to set up a 250 MW/1000 MWh Energy Storage System as part of the contract.
On December 19, NTPC Green Energy’s share price traded 0.16% lower at ₹135.27 by 3:00 PM on the NSE. The stock opened at ₹132.10, lower than ₹135.49 at the previous close.
