State-owned miner NMDC Ltd reported a 5% increase in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of FY25, reaching ₹1,483.18 crore, compared to ₹1,415.62 crore in Q4 FY24. The rise in profit was supported by higher revenue from iron ore and pellet sales.
The company's total income for the quarter increased by nearly 9% year-on-year to ₹7,497.17 crore from ₹6,908.37 crore in the same period last year. Of this, iron ore sales contributed ₹6,350.49 crore, while pellets and other minerals added ₹662.07 crore.
For the entire FY25 fiscal year, NMDC’s net profit rose over 17% to ₹6,538.82 crore, up from ₹5,571.25 crore in FY24. Total income for the year also climbed to ₹25,498.84 crore, compared to ₹22,678.73 crore in the previous fiscal.
NMDC’s board has proposed a final dividend of ₹1 per share, subject to shareholder approval. Additionally, the company had already paid an interim dividend of ₹2.30 per share earlier in FY25.
Amitava Mukherjee, NMDC’s Chairman and MD, said the company is steadily progressing towards its goal of reaching 100 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) production capacity in the next five years. He emphasised that recent efforts are showing measurable success and reaffirmed the company’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
In Q4 FY25, NMDC produced 13.31 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore and sold 12.67 MT.
NMDC’s average iron ore prices during the quarter stood at ₹4,206 per tonne, slightly lower than ₹4,299 in the year-ago quarter. JSW’s revenue from iron ore dipped about 2% during the same period.
