Anant Ambani has officially been inducted into the leadership of Reliance Industries as a Whole-time Director, marking a significant step in the Reliance succession plan. With this appointment, he is set to receive an annual salary package ranging from ₹10 crore to ₹20 crore, alongside multiple benefits and perquisites in line with the company’s executive policy.
Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh Ambani, has appointed Anant Ambani as a Whole-time Director designated as Executive Director for a 5-year term starting from May 1, 2025. As per the company’s filing on April 25, 2025, Anant will receive an annual salary ranging from ₹10 crore to ₹20 crore. This remuneration encompasses the base salary, perquisites, and allowances that fall within Reliance’s structure for senior management.
Beyond take-home pay, Anant Ambani is entitled to several additional benefits, including company-provided housing or house rent allowance, gas, electricity, and water expenses. These perquisites are governed by the Income Tax Act of 1961. Moreover, he is eligible for provident fund contributions, superannuation or annuity benefits, gratuity, and leave encashment in accordance with Reliance’s internal policies.
In addition to the fixed salary bracket, Anant will also be granted an extra share of the company’s net profits as part of his executive compensation plan. Reliance will also cover travel, boarding, and lodging expenses incurred by Anant Ambani, his spouse, and attendant during official engagements. These reimbursements will be administered as per the company's established executive travel policy.

The Board of Directors at Reliance held a meeting on April 15, 2025, to initiate Anant Ambani’s appointment as part of the company’s long-term leadership strategy. His appointment was then formally approved on April 25, 2025, subject to shareholder consent. The HRNR Committee will govern future annual increments to his salary over the upcoming years.
Anant Ambani’s induction as Executive Director with a compensation package extending to ₹20 crore annually highlights Reliance Industries’ structured leadership transition.
