Vedanta Limited has established a new wholly owned subsidiary, Vedanta Finance IFSC Limited, at the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in GIFT City, Gujarat.
The incorporation, completed on November 18, 2025, aligns with the company’s broader goal of enhancing capital efficiency, treasury management, and global financial competitiveness.
The newly formed entity will function as Vedanta’s Global Treasury Centre, supporting activities related to liquidity management, trade finance, and treasury optimisation. It is expected to centralise and streamline the group’s capital market operations, reduce funding costs, and strengthen financial governance across the organisation.
The subsidiary aligns with Vedanta’s strategy to utilise GIFT City’s regulatory and tax advantages for international financial operations.
Vedanta Finance IFSC Limited has an authorised capital of ₹10 crore (1,00,00,000 equity shares of ₹10 each) and a subscribed capital of ₹2 crore (20,00,000 equity shares of ₹10 each).
Vedanta Limited has subscribed to 100% of the equity share capital, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Since the entity has only recently been incorporated, it has not commenced business operations and does not have a turnover history.
The subsidiary operates under the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office located in GIFT City. The company falls under the financial services industry and is intended to undertake treasury-related activities in line with IFSC norms. No regulatory approvals were required for the incorporation, and the acquisition does not qualify as a related-party transaction, as the entity was created by Vedanta itself.
On November 19, 2025, Vedanta share price opened at ₹622.40, up from its previous close of ₹619.10. At 10:23 AM, the share price of Vedanta was trading at ₹612.85, down by 1.01% on the NSE.
