Utkarsh Small Finance Bank has launched a rights issue to raise around ₹950 crore. The Bank’s Board of Directors approved the proposal during a meeting on October 8, 2025. As per the resolution, October 14, 2025, has been set as the record date to determine the shareholders eligible for the rights entitlement. The eligible shareholders will receive 8 Rights Equity Shares for every 13 shares held as on the record date.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2025, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank reported strong growth in deposits, which rose 18.3% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹21,489 crore. This growth was primarily driven by a robust 33.7% YoY increase in retail term deposits, reaching ₹11,675 crore. The Bank continues to strengthen its granular liability franchise, with CASA (Current Account and Savings Account) deposits also witnessing a healthy 22.5% YoY growth to ₹4,229 crore. As a result, the CASA ratio improved to 19.7% from 19.0% a year earlier. Additionally, the credit-deposit (CD) ratio saw a notable improvement, declining to 83.4% as of June 30, 2025, compared to 92.7% in the previous year—indicating a more balanced funding profile.

On the lending side, the Bank’s loan portfolio grew modestly by 2.3% YoY to ₹19,224 crore. Importantly, the share of secured loans within the overall portfolio rose significantly, increasing from 35% to 45% YoY, reflecting the Bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance asset quality and reduce credit risk.
