It was a book-building issue of ₹15,511.87 crores. The issue is a combination of fresh issue of 21.00 crore shares aggregating to ₹6,846.00 crores and offer for sale of 26.58 crore shares aggregating to ₹8,665.87 crores. The Tata Capital IPO price band was set at ₹310 to ₹326 per share.
The Tata Capital IPO was subscribed 1.96 times overall. By October 8, 2025 (Day 3, 5:04:39 PM), the public issue saw 1.10 times subscription in the retail segment, 3.42 times in the QIB (excluding anchor investors), and 1.98 times in the NII category.
The share allotment was finalised on Oct 9, 2025, and the shares were listed on BSE and NSE on Monday, Oct 13, 2025.
On the listing day, on the NSE, Tata Capital share price (NSE: TATACAP) opened at ₹330.00, up from its issue price of ₹326. At 10:57 AM, the share price was trading at ₹330.10, up by 0.03% from its open price and up by 1.33% from its issue price. As of the same time, the stock touched its day’s high at ₹332.00. The company’s market cap was ₹1,40,208.02 crore.
On the BSE, at 10:58 AM, Tata Capital share price was trading at ₹329.80, down by 0.06% from its opening price of ₹330.00 and 1.17% up from its issue price of ₹326.00.
Tata Capital Limited (TCL), a subsidiary of Tata Sons Private Limited, is a diversified financial services company operating as a non-banking financial company (NBFC) in India. It provides a broad spectrum of financial products and services to retail, corporate, and institutional clients. As of March 31, 2025, TCL offers over 25 lending products, serving a wide range of customers, including salaried and self-employed individuals, entrepreneurs, small businesses, SMEs, and corporates.
By June 30, 2025, the company had established an extensive PAN-India presence with 1,516 branches across 1,109 locations in 27 States and Union Territories.
