Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), the FMCG division of Reliance Industries, has stepped into the petcare market with the launch of its new pet food brand, Waggies. Introduced in Bengaluru, the brand marks RCPL’s entry into a sector that is expanding quickly as more Indian households adopt pets.
Waggies has been developed through scientific research with a focus on complete and balanced nutrition. The formulations include herbs, DHA to support brain development, essential vitamins, and ingredients that help make digestion easier for pets.
The aim is to offer high-quality nutrition at a price that a larger number of pet parents can afford. By doing this, RCPL is targeting families who want reliable nutrition but do not wish to pay premium prices.
The brand is being launched in two variants: Waggies and Waggies Pro.
Waggies starts at ₹199 per kg, while Waggies Pro starts at ₹249 per kg. Both variants are designed to support all-day energy, digestive health, joint strength, and coat care.
To help new buyers try the brand easily, RCPL is also introducing 100g trial packs priced at ₹20. This small pack makes it simpler for pet parents to test the food before buying larger quantities.
RCPL is positioning Waggies around the idea of taking pet nutrition “from few households to many.” The focus is on removing the gap between premium pet food buyers and everyday consumers. With pricing that is lower than many established brands, Waggies aims to reach both urban and semi-urban markets.
One of the major advantages for Waggies is Reliance’s large retail and distribution network. This allows RCPL to scale the brand across cities, towns, and later rural regions. Waggies also fits into RCPL’s broader FMCG strategy of combining global-quality standards with local needs while keeping products affordable.

With the launch of Waggies, Reliance has entered a fast-growing category with strong long-term potential. By combining scientific formulations with competitive pricing, the company aims to serve a wide range of pet parents. As distribution expands, Waggies could become an important player in India’s pet nutrition market.
