Parle Tops FMCG Rankings in India for 13th Year: Brand Footprint Report 2025
India’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector is seeing a shift in how and where people prefer to buy and use products. According to the Brand Footprint India 2025 report by Worldpanel, Parle remains the most chosen brand for in-home use, showing strong customer trust year after year.
Parle Leads In-Home Consumption
Parle has kept its position as the number one brand for in-home consumption for the 13th year in a row. It earned a Consumer Reach Point (CRP) score of 8,605 million, showing that it continues to be a household favourite across India. CRPs measure how often a brand is chosen by consumers.
Britannia Shines Both in and Out of Home
Britannia ranked second in in-home use with 8,241 million CRPs, coming very close to Parle. But when it comes to out-of-home consumption, Britannia took the lead with 655 million CRPs, making it the top brand in this segment.
India’s Top 5 In-Home FMCG Brands
Here are the top 5 brands for in-home consumption in 2024:
| Rank | Brand | CRPs (in millions) |
| 1 | Parle | 8,605 |
| 2 | Britannia | 8,241 |
| 3 | Amul | 6,517 |
| 4 | Clinic Plus | 3,977 |
| 5 | Surf Excel | 3,438 |
Surf Excel made a strong entry into the top 5, thanks to a 24% growth in CRPs.
FMCG Sector Slows Down Overall
The total CRPs across all FMCG brands reached 120 billion in 2024, growing by 4.3%. However, this is a slowdown compared to the 7% growth seen the previous year. The drop was mainly due to lower performance in the food and beverage categories.
Dairy Sector Shows Steady Growth
Among the few bright spots, the dairy sector grew from 5% to 6%, showing steady demand despite challenges in other segments.

As market trends evolve, brands will need to stay in touch with consumer needs to remain at the top.
