Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd., known for its popular Cremica range of biscuits and cookies, has approved a stock split in the ratio of 1:5. Following this split, each existing equity share with a face value of ₹10 will be divided into five equity shares with a reduced face value of ₹2 each. The record date for this stock split will be communicated in due course.
Mrs. Bectors Food said in an exchange filing, “Sub-division/split of the 1 (One) equity share having face value of Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten only) each, fully paid-up, into 5 (Five) equity shares, having face value of Rs. 2/- each (Rupees Two only) each, fully paid-up, by alteration in Capital Clause of the Memorandum of Association (MOA) of the Company, subject to approval of the shareholders and any regulatory/ statutory approvals, as may be required under applicable laws. The Record Date for the purpose of the sub-division/split of equity shares shall be intimated in due course.”
Stock splits are typically undertaken to improve stock liquidity and make shares more affordable and accessible to a broader base of investors. By increasing the number of outstanding shares and proportionally reducing their price, companies aim to encourage greater trading activity without altering overall market capitalisation.
While Mrs. Bectors has not issued any bonus shares to date, the company has maintained a consistent dividend payout track record. The announcement of the stock split coincided with the release of the company’s financial results for the quarter ended June.

Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd. reported a 7.64% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue for the quarter ended June, with total income rising to ₹472.96 crore, up from ₹439.40 crore in the same period last year. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, revenue grew 6.03%.
Despite the top-line growth, the company’s net profit declined to ₹30.88 crore, marking a 12.84% drop YoY from ₹35.43 crore and a 9.92% decline QoQ.
