Hindalco Industries share price and SBI Life Insurance share price climbed to their 52-week highs on Tuesday, outperforming the broader market. Hindalco’s stock rose to ₹859.55, while SBI Life traded at ₹1,928.20, close to its all-time high of ₹1,935.
In 2025 so far, Hindalco has gained 44%, and SBI Life has surged 37%, compared with a 7.7% rise in the BSE Sensex. Their strong rally pushed both companies’ market capitalisation close to ₹2 trillion, Hindalco at ₹1.92 trillion and SBI Life at ₹1.93 trillion.
SBI Life reported another robust quarter in Q2FY26, with a 10% year-on-year rise in new business premium (APE) to ₹5,950 crore and a 14–15% increase in value of new business (VNB) to ₹1,660 crore.
The VNB margin improved by 100 basis points to 27.9%, driven by better product mix and higher productivity through bancassurance (57% of APE).
Hindalco announced ongoing restoration at its Novelis plant in Oswego, New York, after a fire incident in September 2025. The company expects operations to resume by December 2025, with production ramp-up within 4–6 weeks.
India’s growing consumption and urbanisation also favour Hindalco’s growth. The company noted that India’s per capita aluminium use (3.2 kg) and copper use (0.6 kg) are far below global averages, leaving significant room for expansion.
Both Hindalco and SBI Life have emerged as market leaders in 2025, with robust financials and strong growth prospects. While SBI Life benefits from rising insurance demand and expanding margins, Hindalco stands to gain from industrial recovery and metal consumption growth. Their approach to innovation and efficiency positions both stocks for sustained long-term value creation.
