Hindalco Q2 FY26 Earnings Results: PAT Surges 21% YoY at ₹4,741 Crore

Hindalco Industries Limited, the Aditya Birla Group's metals flagship, announced its consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025. The company demonstrated strong performance across key metrics driven by robust contributions from its India business and operational efficiencies.

Hindalco Q2 FY26 Earnings Results

For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, Hindalco achieved consolidated revenue from operations of ₹66,058 crore, registering growth of 13% YoY and 3% QoQ. EBITDA stood at ₹9,684 crore, marking an increase of 6% YoY and 12% QoQ compared to the respective periods.

Profit before tax reached ₹6,722 crore, up 9% YoY and 18% QoQ. Profit after tax stood at ₹4,741 crore, demonstrating robust expansion of 21% YoY and 18% QoQ. Basic earnings per share were ₹21.35 for the quarter, compared to ₹17.59 in Q2 FY25.

Hindalco Half-Year FY26 Earnings Results

For the half year ended September 30, 2025, consolidated revenue from operations reached ₹1,30,290 crore, up 13% from ₹1,15,216 crore in H1 FY25. EBITDA totalled ₹18,357 crore, reflecting 7% growth year on year.

Half-year PBT stood at ₹12,398 crore, growing 9% from ₹11,335 crore previously. PAT for H1 FY26 came to ₹8,745 crore, surging 25% from ₹6,983 crore in H1 FY25. Earnings per share for the half year were ₹39.38, up 25% YoY.

Aluminium Business Performance

India Aluminium Upstream business delivered standout performance with EBITDA at ₹4,524 crore, up 22% YoY, achieving industry-best margins of 45%. Aluminium Downstream reported record EBITDA of ₹261 crore, up 69% compared to Q2 FY25, supported by higher shipments and favourable product mix.

The company announced Aditya Aluminium Phase 2 expansion of 193 KT with a project cost of ₹10,225 crore, expected to be commissioned in FY29. Upstream shipments stood at 341 KT, while Downstream sales reached 113 KT.

Novelis and Copper Segment

Novelis reported shipments at 941 KT with adjusted EBITDA of $422 million. Revenue stood at $4.7 billion, up 10% driven by higher aluminium prices. The Oswego plant is set to restart its hot mill in December 2025.

Copper segment maintained a healthy EBITDA of ₹634 crore despite the declining TC/RCs market, offset by higher sulphuric acid realisations. Copper metal sales stood at 113 KT with revenue of ₹14,563 crore, up 11% YoY.

Hindalco Industries Share Price Performance

On November 7, 2025, Hindalco Industries share price opened at ₹788.50 on NSE, above the previous close of ₹788.40. During the day, it surged to ₹802.60 and dipped to ₹783.00. The stock is trading at ₹796.05 as of 2:01 PM. The stock registered a moderate gain of 0.97%.

Over the past week, it has declined by 6.04%, over the past month, it has moved up by 2.84%, and over the past 3 months, it has moved up by 16.76%.
