Walmart-owned Flipkart is stepping up its quick commerce game. Its instant delivery platform, Flipkart Minutes, has introduced a dedicated gourmet section featuring 650 products from 130 brands, targeting consumers who value premium quality and variety.
The range covers everything from ingredients for authentic Asian cuisine to baking essentials and specialty snacks delivered to customers in minutes.
Currently available in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, Flipkart Minutes plans to expand gourmet offerings to more cities. Interestingly, early data shows strong interest from tier-2 cities, highlighting growing appetite for premium products beyond metro markets.
Competition in the quick commerce market is intensifying, with many platforms carving out space in premium and niche categories to stand apart.
Amazon has stepped into the arena with its Amazon Now service first launched in Bangalore in June and later rolled out to select neighborhoods in Delhi in July. New entrants like FirstClub are also betting big on exclusivity, promising a curated set of high-end products delivered within 20–30 minutes.

As more players enter and diversify their offerings, consumers are set to benefit from greater choice, faster delivery, and access to high quality brands whether they live in metro cities or beyond.
