On September 23, 2025, CarTrade Tech share price (NSE: CARTRADE) climbed 4.2% to an intraday high of ₹2,488.5 before trading 3.21% higher at ₹2,463.6. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 0.09% at 82,082.98. The company’s market value now stands at ₹11,728 crore, with the stock up 153% in the past year, far outpacing the Sensex’s 3% decline.

Why the Rally?

The surge followed the company’s announcement that its platforms CarWale and BikeWale recorded their highest-ever single-day traffic on the first day of Navratri. Traffic jumped 74% compared to last year’s Navratri opening day and 60% over the August 2025 daily average.

Festive Demand Boost

CarTrade attributed the surge to festive season demand and the recent GST rate cut, which improved affordability and lifted consumer sentiment in the auto sector. CEO Banwari Lal Sharma said the milestone reflects the trust millions of Indians place in CarWale and BikeWale while researching and purchasing vehicles.
