The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will hold a comprehensive mock trading session on October 11, 2025, to validate its trading systems, risk controls, and member readiness across multiple segments. The test will involve Equity, Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, and Commodity Derivatives markets, with no settlement, margin, or pay-in obligations arising from trades executed during the session.
The Equity segment mock session will test key functionalities such as call auctions, risk-reduction mode, trading halts, and block deals. There will be no new BOLT TWS release for this exercise. Log-in will be available from 08:15-08:45, followed by the Morning Block Deal between 08:45-09:00.
The Pre-Open order entry runs from 09:00-09:08, with matching till 09:15. Continuous Trading (T+1) will occur from 09:15-12:00 and (T+0) from 09:15-11:30. Special Pre-Open Session (SPOS) includes order entry 09:00-09:45, matching 09:45-10:00, and continuous trading 10:00-12:00. Trade modifications are allowed till 11:45 for T+0 and 12:30 for T+1.
Random stoppages will simulate exceptional conditions in 1 minute during Pre-Open and 10 minutes in SPOS for IPO and re-listed securities.
For the Equity Derivatives segment, members can test functions such as risk-reduction mode and trading halts via ETI APIs and IML systems. Log-in is from 08:15-09:15, continuous trading from 09:15-12:00, and trade modification till 12:15.
In Currency Derivatives, trading for currency and cross-currency contracts runs from 09:00-12:00 with modification till 12:10. The Commodity Derivatives session follows a similar structure with log-in from 08:15-09:00, trading from 09:00-12:00, and modification till 12:10.
