Avantel Ltd. has secured a new order worth ₹10.11 crore from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The order is for the supply of satellite communication (Satcom) equipment – specifically, the airborne version used in aircraft.
According to the company, the order will be completed within one year, by August 10, 2026. The equipment will be delivered with a 24-month warranty from the date it is accepted by HAL.
While this order brings a positive development, Avantel’s financial results for the June quarter showed a weak performance. The company's net profit fell by more than 56% to ₹3.23 crore, compared to ₹7.38 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations remained flat at ₹51.9 crore, showing little to no growth.
Despite the weak quarter, the company continues to gain orders from major defence and aerospace organisations, showing trust in its technical capabilities.
The HAL order adds to Avantel’s growing list of contracts in 2025. In June, the company won two major orders worth ₹24.73 crore. These included:
Earlier in February 2025, Avantel also received a ₹43.25 crore order from NewSpace India Ltd (NSIL), the commercial arm of ISRO. This order was for supplying and installing over 45,000 transponder devices.
Avantel designs, develops, and manufactures advanced communication and radar systems, especially for the aerospace and defence sectors. Its major clients include ISRO, DRDO, Indian Railways, Boeing, and various government agencies. The company is known for its focus on innovation and high-quality technology solutions.
As of 10:10 AM on August 12, 2025, Avantel share price was trading 2.2% higher at ₹128.14. However, the stock is still down by 18% over the last month, reflecting the pressure from weak quarterly results despite new order wins.

Despite a tough financial quarter, Avantel continues to win valuable contracts in the defence and aerospace sectors. The recent ₹10.11 crore order from HAL shows the company’s strong position in supplying advanced communication systems. Investors should keep an eye on Avantel’s order flow and financial recovery, especially as it maintains a steady presence among India's top defence tech suppliers.
