The top Sensex gainers were Bajaj Finance Ltd, Bajaj FinServ Ltd and Titan India Ltd, whereas the top Sensex losers were NTPC Ltd, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries Ltd.
The BSE Consumer Durables Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Telecommunication Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Consumer Durables Index soared 0.59%, led by Titan India Ltd and Dixon Technologies Ltd while the BSE Telecommunication Index was down 0.57% dragged down by Bharti Airtel Ltd and Sterlite Technologies Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading in the red, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.19% and the BSE Small-cap index down 0.08%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Kansai Nerolac Ltd and Endurance Technologies Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Power Mech Projects Ltd.
