Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has confirmed that women enrolled under the Ladli Behna Yojana will receive ₹1,500 per month after Diwali. As of now, over 1.27 crore women are receiving ₹1,250 per month through the scheme.

In addition to the existing monthly support, an extra ₹250 will be provided to beneficiaries as a one-time payment on Raksha Bandhan. This brings the total transfer for the festival month to ₹1,500.

Budget Allocation for Women-Centric Schemes

The state has allocated ₹27,147 crore in its budget for women-related schemes. Of this, ₹18,699 crore has been designated specifically for the Ladli Behna Yojana.

Ladli Behna Yojana was launched on June 10, 2023, by former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The initial monthly payout was ₹1,000. This amount was increased to ₹1,250 and will now be revised to ₹1,500 post-Diwali.

Ladli Laxmi Yojana Beneficiaries

Separately, around 51 lakh girls have received benefits under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana. The total assistance provided under this scheme stands at ₹672 crore to date.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that more than 9,000 tribal families have been granted land rights under provisions of the Forest Rights Act. These families are spread across various tribal regions in the state.
